I can't pronounce it either. But I spotted this flavorful surprise in a Russian grocery store in Brighton, MA while shopping for pastries. Krasnyi Oktyabr Tapxyh comes in a cool green and yellow/gold labeled bottle with Cyrillic script . Being from the West, I have been conditioned to pretty much assume that any soda in a green and yellow bottle is another lemon/lime concotion. I was very happily surprised when I took my first drink of this soda. You get past the bright fake green coloring fast because there is a very real vanilla-like flavor, bathed in sweet carbonation. The secret ingredient is Tarkhun. After doing some researching I found that Tarkhun beverages have been around a long time in Russia. Coca Cola has even tried to emulate this formula in an unsuccessful attempt to give the Russian consumers something more exciting than the Coca Cola Classic beverage. This beverage is a sure thing.
